New Delhi: Paras Health has announced an aggressive expansion strategy across North India, aiming to scale its total capacity to nearly 3,000 hospital beds by 2029.

As part of this growth plan, the healthcare provider intends to add around 800 beds through a combination of new hospital projects and expansion of existing facilities.

The company’s expansion will be driven by two major greenfield projects, including a 300-bed hospital in Gurugram and a 500-bed facility in Ludhiana. The Ludhiana project will also mark Paras Health’s entry into the Punjab market.

In addition to new hospitals, the group is strengthening its presence in existing markets by upgrading facilities in cities such as Patna and Ranchi. Its Panchkula unit is also expected to undergo significant expansion, potentially reaching a capacity of 500 beds.

The company stated that its strategy focuses on addressing long-term gaps in access to quality healthcare, particularly in underserved regions, rather than pursuing short-term opportunities.

India’s hospital sector continues to witness strong growth, driven by rising healthcare spending, increasing burden of chronic diseases, and supportive government policies. Against this backdrop, Paras Health is positioning itself as a key regional player, focusing on North India rather than competing directly with pan-India hospital chains.

The expansion is being funded through internal accruals and previously raised capital, reflecting a cautious financial approach. The company had also received approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) in October 2025 for a potential initial public offering (IPO), which it may pursue when market conditions are favorable.

With this expansion roadmap, Paras Health aims to strengthen its footprint and contribute to meeting India’s growing demand for quality healthcare infrastructure over the next few years.
